  1. Toothache - Smoke brown paper or a little washing soda ground finely and sniffed up side of nose nearest affected tooth blowing vigorously. This causes water to issue from tooth and ease the pain.
    Whooping cough. - Milk left after ferrit will cure the whoping cough. Ask the first man met riding a grey horse what will cure the "chin-cough."
    Warts - Water found stagnant in rock used as cure for warts.
    Sore eyes - Garden thistle or visiting St Patrick's Well.
    Pain in back. - Cured by going under rock.
