    1. Observation of heavenly bodies.
    2. Appearance of atmosphere.
    One can foretell by the various changes of the heavenly bodies what weather is in store.
    The usual habit for most people is to view the sunrise. By this they know the on-coming weather. If the sky be clear, and the sun rise in a glow of fire throwing its genial rays form east to west. Then there is a clear indication of a fine day. If on the other hand, the sun be pale and dim, it foretells clearly that a wet day is in store.
    Before ever weather-glasses or barometers were to be had, the people were better versed in foretelling weather.
