  1. My Father told me the story of the Castle of Toureen.
The ruins of it are to be seen yet. and it is about five hundred years old. There was a round Tower on top of it. It is surrounded by a wall, covered with.moss One time there was a road leading from it to Kilonan.
There is a story told that one time a man was passing at twelve o clock, one night. He heard a noyse like a horse galloping. He looked round and coming up the road he saw a headless Coach lead by four white horses and was driven by a man.
When it came to the castle it was seen no more.
