    If the smoke should go up straight towards the sky it is a sign of good weather.
    Another weather sign is, the plovers make a terrible noise, and it is a sign of bad weather.
    If the cat turns his back to the fire it is a sign of bad weather.
    If the crikets sing it is a sign of bad weather.
    If the cats be running around the house it is a sign of a storm.
    If the horse is very noisy in the stable and is inclined to kick it is a sign of a storm.
