  1. 1) In the olden times the people used to cure a sore throat by putting a stocking round their necks until it was cured.
    2) They used get roast potatoes and put them into a stocking and then put them to their necks for one night.
    3) Another cure for sore throat is to put salt into a stocking and heating the stocking and put it to their necks until it was cured.
    4) They used to get the juice of the raspberries leaves boiled well was a cure for a sore throat.
