    1) Jack O'Grady Limerick was a great weight thrower of the 26 lbs weight for whom there is a monument erected in the Pike road in Limerick.
    2) The O'Callaghan's of Tipperary were also great weight throwers.
    3) The Reals in Pallas were great weight throwers.
    4) Paddy Ryan in Pallas was a great weight thrower.
    5) Ahane hurlers won fame.
    6) There is a man living in Annacotty Co Limerick named Mr, Tucker who carried the post from Lisnagry to Murroe and from that to all the townlands near by and had to be back early that evening again to Lisnagry to meet
