  1. A short distance from this district is a place called Doonass. In this district there is a well called Saint Senan's well which was called after Saint Senan who was the patron saint of that place. On the 15th of August of every year, people visit this well to be cured of their ailments. In the Doonass churchyard there is another well which is said to cure sore eyes and headaches.
