  1. This poem from Nora Connolly Cappamore, is in honour of Limerick's dashing victory over the Noremen, thus avenging their All Ireland defeat. By this great win, our boys have achieved the unique distinction of bringing the third successive League to the Shannonside.
    Again the've come and conquered
    These peerless hurlers bold
    And retained well the famed Croke Cup
    In Sarsfield's County old.
    When soundly they defeated
    The boys in black and amber
    It was a thrilling victory
    A game long to remember.
