  1. It is also stated that on the night of the big wind the dwelling house of Mick Cunningham of Tower hill was burned to the ground. How the fire started was never known, but it is believed that a flash of lightening started it. The family escaped. The landlord presented the family with wood and slates from which were built the house which is now occupied by Mr. D.Hayes of Towerhill.
