    An old woman was one day walking to the station and a local farmer saw the train approaching. He shouted to her to hurry but she calmly answered "Time enough ". There is since a local saying - "Time enough" says May Nan & she late for the train.

    A rich man named Croker lived in a mansion at Ballinagarde and after a life of luxury lay dying. The minister was present. Ballinagarde must I leave you said Croker. You are going to a better place said the minister. "I doubt it " said Croker and the latter saying is still repeated.
