    One night two men were coming home from a fair. As they neared a turnip garden they saw something like a railway carriage.

    One night two men were coming home from a fair. As they neared a turnip garden they saw something like a railway-carriage. It came down the garden making noise like a machine. They thought it was rooting up the ground. At last it came near a big pond and stopped. The men went to see what it was but as they drew closer to it, it started off again and then disappeared.
    When the men came home they told the people of the house about what they saw. Old people ay that it must be some other form of the headless coach
