I heard the following story from an old man in the neighbourhood.

I heard the following story from an old man in the neighbourhood. About fifty years ago two men who were returning from a neighbour's house about midnight were greatly astonished to hear the distant baying of hounds. Getting afraid they hurried towards home but before they could reach it a ghostly hunt passed them. They could hear horses galloping, men shouting, whips cracking, bugles sounding and hounds in full cry but they could not see them. When the men reached home they went to bed and didn't get up for a couple of days afterwards.
