    The Count's wife died at the birth of Peter - now the youngest of the family.
    The Earl of Sandwich died without issue and the whole of his property including a very large fine estate in Co. Antrim
    (exactly-?
    fell into the hands of the de Salis.
    A direct relative of the Count's - one Peter de Salis - came across from France and fought under Sarsfield in Limerick.

    It is well to note here that Grange N. S. Kilmallock was built by the Count de Salis in the year 1867 and that he was landlord of the school, play-ground and Teacher's residence till 1934.
