    melodies of the great O Connellan whom Seán probably heard in his own day at Lough Gur, were all converted into Heavenly elysiums by Sean’s wonderful manual dexterity.
    Seán lived with his wife in a snug little cottage in the peaceful ravine at the foot of Carraig na gColtúr and there was not a wedding, christening or fandango for miles around that Seán was not invited to attend and consequently he was never short of money.
    Well, one fine evening in August, Seán was strolling around Knockadoon to see and count the cattle with his pipe in good order and he enjoying the invigorating breezes and beautiful scenery which surrounded him on all sides, when immediately above the Suidheacán Bean-a’-tighe a white robed lady accosted him with the familiar
    “Good-evening, Seán O h-Aodha”.
    “Good-evening. kindly Miss”.
