I was returning from a neighbour's house at midnight one night & when going up the boreen leading to my own house I saw a dark figure like that of a man lying across the middle of the road. I paused and contemplated going inside the ditch but at last I decided to brave it out and went straight on my way. As I did so the figure disappeared like a kind of mist or fog.
