  2. William Troy who lived in Curraghkilbran, Anglesboro' Co Limerick was a noted poet and a great Irish scholar. He died about sixty years ago.
    His house was situated on the farm now owned by the Daly family and was situated beside the big double ditch. He is said to have written that grand old song in praise of Anglesboro' called "Gleann-na- gCreabhar". Denis Condon of Lackendarra says it was written by a man called Lenihan of Anglesboro' who wrote several
