One evening about 40 yrs. ago a man was coming home from the village of Ballylanders.

As he was coming through the district of Garnalina which is in Co Limerick and the Barony of Coshlea he suddenly saw a little man sitting under a dock leaf mending old shoes. He got up behind the fairy man, caught him by the back of the coat and shook him. The fairy shoemaker cried out and said.
"If you let me go I'll make you a wealthy man"
He immediately did so and the fairyman shouted:
"There's millions of money between two ridges in Garnalina, Garnalina, Garnalina, Garnalina" and so on until he disappeared through the fields.
