  1. A simple toy called a "dancer" used be made in this district. It was made as in sketch. The four strings - one from each arm and one from each foot were joined together at the end. The jerking of these strings caused the dancer to perform a very fantastic dance - legs and arms flying. I have seen this toy made by old people in the Gaodhaltacht.
