    48. Old saying :-
    "Rainbow in the morning is the shepherd's warning,
    Rainbow at night is the shepherds delight".
    49. When the sky seems high up we look out for fine day weather.
    50. Curlew's single whistle - good weather.
    51. Curlew's double whistle - rain.
    52. Hens picking their feathers with their bills, show us that we are near rain.
    53. When wild geese fly in a northerly direction, good weather is ahead.
    54. When winter is approaching we often hear the wind making a peculiar whistling sound in the chimney or tars' keyholes, etc. The old people say :- 'Ha! this is the first of Winter; do you hear "the little man form Galway"'?
