  2. Monday is supposed to be the unluckiest day of the week for tailors, and dressmakers count Monday an unlucky day for cutting out. Monday is also unlucky for changing from one house to another. Onions are supposed to be planted the shortest day of the year and pulled the longest day.
    Potatoes are set not later than the end of April or the middle of May. A lot of people get married during Shrove tide but June is supposed to be the luckiest month
