treasure, consisting of gold, gold silver and such.
About two hundred years ago some men found the entrance to this cave. They went into it and they found gold candlesticks. They went again to get something else, some days later, and they could not find the entrance. It had never been found since. The gold candlesticks are supposed to be still seen in Scarteen House.
In a place called Cush, about six miles from the village of Knocklong, men dug there. They found the remains of an old village.
