  1. At present there are a number of stories told about fairies and some are very interesting.
    People say fairies live in a moat under rocks and are very tiny people.
    It is said they have crocks of gold and they play football and hurling very often.
    There are fairy women who are called Bean Síde.
    It is said they cry very mournfully and they also visit people when their relatives are about to die.
    People say they come in a shape of a woman who holds knitting in her hand and other people say she comes in a form of a cat.
