  1. In the townland of Mortalstown (Baile Mortéil) lies a stone in the farm of Mr Richard Connolly.
    This stone has a depression & two marks which latter are supposed to have been made by St Patrick when he stood preaching on the stone. The tradition says that people were baptised with water from the depression in the stone. There is no well beside it but there is plenty of water at some little distance.
