  1. A Tale of Copey wood in the Parish of Adare.
    About sixty years ago, almost all the land was tilled in the Parish of Adare. And the people grew a lot of corn on it. They used to take it to the market in Limerick. They used to have to leave the day before as it would be long after dark before they could get home, because there was so much corn to be delivered.
    One night a workman at John Corneills, a farmer who lived near Rour-Mor, Adare was returning home after delivering corn, he was coming home along by Copey, which at that time was known as the black wood.
