  1. The ghost of Arban, Adare.
    About one mile to the south west of Adare, on the road to New-Castle-West, there is a small hill on the road, called Ard ban hill. Lord Dunraven's deer park lies on the right and a quarry and some fields are on the left.
    This hill and district is known to have been haunted by the ghost of Ard ban. He appeared at different times under several forms and to different people. He caused many deaths through shock.
    One night it was very late a man was returning from Adare. He was living in
