  1. The Sean-Bheann Rour, Adare.
The town-land of Rour is situated midways between the village of Adare on its western side, and Shountrade national school in the Parish of Adare.
There is still the remains of an old castle to be seen in the town-land of Rour called Sean-Bheann. Sean Bheann means the old pike.
According to tradition Mass was celebrated in the castle during the penal days. The Priests house was situated about one hundred yards form the castle.
