  1. Evictions are carried out sometimes, when the animals are evicted and they are put into the Pound, and sold by auction about a week after. Sometimes the man whom the animals are taken from get money on loan, and buys the animals back. It is the rate-collector who generally takes on the eviction. The people are after evicted out of their houses for not paying the rent also.

  2. Long ago, the names of the landlords were Guerins. It was nearly always landlords who were in possession of the house and land, but once it was a landlady named Guerin. They were fair and good landlords.
