    is going to rain.
When the moon sits on it's back it is a sign of rain.
When a bright sun is shining it is called a watery sun and is a sign of rain.
When a breeze blows from curlew-hill which is about three miles west of Askeaton also rain or when a lot of colours are seen in the rainbow. When the cat keeps his pay behind his ear as he sits by the fire, or when the dog is always yawning it is a sign of rain.
When the hens go to roost early or when the ducks quack it is a sign of rain.
When a black cloud appears in the sky and when there is no draught in the chimney or when the stars twinkle it is a sign of rain.
When the insects come into the house such as the frog or the lizard it is a sign of a hard frost.
