  1. When people visit St. James' Well Nantenan and hope their sight would be improved, they take with them water and moss in which to bathe their eyes for nine mornings following their visit.

  2. 1 During Xmas there is holly placed in the houses in honour of Our Lord. There are candles lighted also.
    2 On Palm Sunday the people place palm in their houses
    3 On Easter Saturday the people get Easter water for the year.
    4 On May day the people get holy water and shake it around the place and on the animals.
    Long ago the people used to go to the abbey and around the shore to gather moss. When they had a lot of it, they would put it on the thatch
