    when the hills look near it is the sign of rain also. When soot falls down the chimney it is the sign of rain, and when the wild geese go to the north in the evening it is a sign of a frost.

  2. There are many old sayings about future weather. These signs are shown by the animals and birds or by the atmosphere. It is said when swallows fly high it is a sign of good weather. If a donkey, a cow or a horse turn their tails to the wall it is a sign of bad weather.
