  1. Three giants had a cast from Knockfierna one day. One threw a rock to a cairn in the Parish of Kilmeedy a distance of about four miles accross contry. This rock is like a small house in the distance. The second giant threw once to Martin Colman's in the Parish of Kilmeedy a distance of about five miles. The third to Martin Quaid's in the parish of Clouncagh. There is a stone in Roche's hill in the Parish of Ballingarry shaped like a man. A giant is supposed to have thrown this stone from Knockfierna.
