are told that if they did this something would happen to them. Hallow - eve night is the most amusing night of all the festivals in my district. A tub of water with an apple in it is put in the middle of the floor. A barm - brack is made, and in it a ring, thimble, and match are put. Who ever gets the ring will be the first to marry. The person who gets the thimble will be married to a tailor. The person who gets the match will die the first. Nuts are distributed on that night.
