  1. At the north side of Kilmeedy village is situated the remains of an old school which was constructed early in the 19th centuary by the farmers of the locality. It now has an ancient and deserted appearance with only the four walls standing and the roof. It is evacuated since 1928 and is replaced by a new school constructed at the west side of the village.
