    Local Song
There was a number of men working at Dan Hedderman's Ballyneale Ballingarry. There were races coming off in Newcastle and the men were planning to get Dan's jennet. There was one man named James K Hickey and he said he'd ask the jennet. And this is how he asked him.
Now master Dan will you grant us a favour. We worked all the year you' ve the fruit of our labour.
We saved all your hay with your horses and traces.
Now give the old jennet to go to the races. Theres one man in the job and his name is Tom Flynn.
and he'll stop at home to drive the cows in.
