  1. It is said that there is gold hidden in Michael Noonan's haggard Ballylan Ballingarry. One day a man named Daly went out to look for the gold. He was digging away until he came to pieces of iron. When he took them in his hand. Then they looked like pieces of gold. He told his neighbours about it. When he showed his neighbours the gold they looked like pieces of timber to them. He went away with the pieces of timber in his pocket. When he looked at them again they looked like pieces of gold. He went away to America and was never heard of again.
