    John Hickey of Bruree went out one fine summer's morning with his scythe and cut five three quarter acres in one day.
    Michael Curran of Rockhill Bruree was a great runner. He left the cross of Rockhill at one time with the train leaving the station at Bruree and was in Limerick three minutes before it.
