    at the Pike.
    The forge at present in use is built with concrete, roofed with timber which is covered outside with felt.
    The door is larger than an ordinary door, so as to give room to machines to enter to be repaired.
    There is only one fireplace in the forge. It is called a "hob.
    It is raised about two feet from the ground. A bellows is connected, with it.
    The implements the smith uses in his work are, an anvil, which a big block made of iron, a heavy hammer for beating the red iron into shoes for horses, and a vice for holding the iron to bend it.
