  1. Gleann na gCapall, got its name over a woman that went into a church nearby, and drank the wine. When she came out she was in the form of a horse. She ran up and down the glen and made it deeper with her hooves, and it is called Gleann nagCapall.
    Cooney Peddlers Gate got its name over a man named Cooney, a pedler who was killed there while cycling.
    "Atha na Mhairge" got its name over markets that were held there long ago. Átha na "Mhairhe" means, the fort of the market.
