    A weed, called the "glourane, when pounded up and applied to sprains, cures it.
    The juice of the wild parsnip and chickenweed mixed with milk and given to children suffering from the whooping-cough is a good remedy.
    An herb called the march-malis when applied to sores cures them.
    The skin of a young dog-leaf when laid on a sore lip is good for it.
    When washing-soda is rubbed to warts it banishes them.
