  1. The time of the Black and Tans, there was a wake in Tullylease. Int he room in which the corpse was laid out in, there was a broken clock. During the wake the clock began to strike and to tick. When the people heard this, they all ran out. Bill Lenane was there, and he was the only man to stay inside, and he said, "Begor boys tis hard to say that ye'd wait for the Tans, to say that ye'd run from a clock".
