  1. There lived in the Pike a great story teller. Some of his stories were about ghosts. His name was Matt Russel. He used to sit down near the fire for an hour or two every night. He lived to be a good age.
    There lived in the district a great dancer whose name was Jonny Brennan. There was not any step in the world he could not dance. He was teaching here in Dromcollogher in a cottage near the town. He was teaching every second evening at Mr Barry's. All the towns people were learning from him.
