  1. A travelling man went into a house one night looking for lodgings. The woman said she would give it to him. She gave him his supper and made a bed for him in the kitchen. The people of the house went to bed and made, left the lamp and fire lighting and an armchair in front of the fire. About midnight a priest came in and and warmed himself and went away.
    The next morning he got up and ate, and the woman asked him did he see anything or did anything disturb him and he said “no”. She asked him to come the second night and he said he would . He came and the same thing happened. The lamp and fire were left lighting and an armchair in front of it. About midnight the priest came in and warmed himself and went away. The man got up in the morning and ate and went away. The third night came an the same thing
