Long ago the people used to stay up May night minding their cows for fear they would be milked in the morning, as it was a custom of the old women that used do the pisogues to be out before sunrise on May morning with a bucket and spancel from farm to farm milking a cow in every herd. A farmer saw a woman Mrs. Moore going with a bucket and spancel gathering the dew off the grass and milking a cow in every farm, and she saying Bailigh leat, Bailigh leat, as she went along
