  1. In the town land of Munkilly there lived a brave woman by the name of Catherine Brosnan. She was in great difficulties with her landlord. One day a hireling came from the landlord with a very important document at that time called a Writ. If this Writ could be served on the tenant personally, it meant complete seizure of the cattle. As the hireling walked up to hand her the Writ , she put her two arms around his waist and knocked him down. She took the Writ and put it right down his throat and made him eat it. She put it in a place where it could never be served any more.
