    There was a man whose name was O'Leary and he lived about twenty years ago. He owned a stud, and he owned a lot of horses, and he was supposed to be a very strong man, and that he could lift a weight that no one could lift. one day when he was going on a journey on horse-back he had no matches and he could not light his pipe. He was nearly travelling for an hour before he came to any house, and the first house he came to was a forge, and he stopped outside the door but he did not come off his horse.
    The smith came out to ask him what did he want, and he asked the smith to bring him out a red coal to light his pipe. The smith was suppose to be a great lifter also, and he went into the forge and put a coal upon the wide end of the anvil, and caught (?) it by the beak and brought it (?) out to the man on the horse
