  1. Last night as we assembled by Kilmores old mantle glens,
    Assembled for to drill our boys, we had but nine or ten,
    But as the moon shone bright and clear we mustered forty-four,
    We were drilled by Captain Nolan on the Sandhills of Kilmore.
    Our Captain is a neat young man though his age is scarce eighteen, he being young his heart is true and he dearly loves the green.
    He drills his men each evening at the hour of half past four, we'll be drilled from this night forward on the Sandhills of Kilmore.
