  1. In this parish there is a place where Mass used to be said in the Penal Times. It is situated on the bank of the river Elghaun in the east of the parish of Templeglantine. It is said that a Bishop gave Confirmation in that place. It is called "Carraig an Casbuig". There is a rock in that place which has a shape of an Altar and it is still pointed out. There is another place where Mass used to be said in the Penal times. It is between the parishes
