  1. On the large fort in Clouncagh, there is a grave yard in which stands the ruins of the ancient abbeys of St. Maidoc, founded in the 7th century. In this churchyard there are two tombs. One erected by Cornelius D'arcy Esq of Ahalin. The date 1800 appears on it.
The second tomb which is smaller, has its door or large flag thrown out on ground, so that no date could be found.
