  1. Long ago in Ireland the houses were not built with stone and concrete like they are now. When a person would be about to build a house he would go to where there would be a big pile of soft mud. He would dig up this pile of mud and throw water on it to soften it, he would be mixing and turning this for several days. He would go then and dig out the foundation and into this he would put large stones. On top of those stones he would put a layer of mud. He would go then and pull heather from
