    It is said, according to the old people of this district that there is treasure in Dungeehy Fort about a mile from the town on the Limerick road. No one seems to know how it got there but they say it is there for certain.
    Many years ago a man by the name of Tom Roche had a dream three nights in succession that there was treasure of gold hidden in a certain spot in the fort.
